Neighborhood Walks We offer small group and individual neighborhood walks, which may include a game of fetch in a field or a play date with a friend in a dog park. Neighborhood walks provide dogs with excellent exercise, socialization, mental stimulation, along with opportunities to practice basic cues.
Each client will be asked to choose a two-hour window within which their walk will happen. These times are subject to availability.
Off Leash Group Hiking Program
J and R's Pup Squad has years of experience offering stimulating, well-designed and safe off leash group hikes, that contribute holistically to the development, health, and well-being of dog participants. We are currently seeking dogs for our new dynamic two-hour distance hike on a premier trail in the Boston area. Your dog will be provided with opportunities to play, run, explore and sometimes swim in a state park with a carefully selected well socialized group. This is an excellent option for high energy dogs who require more mental stimulation and exercise. In order to join this program dogs must have proven off leash reliability in a woodland location.
Please keep in mind that this is a hike, and not a walk. It will involve elevation, climbs on rocky outcrops, and occasionally trekking through the woods over rough terrain, requiring fitness and stamina.
If interested, you may request an application via email. If we believe your dog is a good fit for this group, we will schedule a meet and greet.
The hike happens within a 10-1:30 window. Pick-up and drop-off may be up to 2 hours before and after this timeframe. Customers who sign their dog up must give us an approximately 9-2:30 window for the entire outing. We ask for a regular 4-5 day per work week (Monday-Friday) commitment to this program, with no charge if you occasionally need to cancel, or are taking a vacation with your dog. Additional weekend hikes can be booked separately. These will involve 4 hours in the woods.
