J and R's Pup Squad (formerly Connerney Pet Services MA), was founded by Janet Connerney in 2001. Janet's playful, loving approach to working with dogs quickly led her to become a significant figure in the lives of numerous dogs and their families, throughout the Cambridge/Somerville/Arlington area.
In 2016, Janet's partner Robyn joined Janet in her dog walking service. J and R's Pup Squad now offers daily off leash group adventure hikes, leash hikes, solo hikes, and neighborhood walks, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.- 6 p.m., and as needed evening and weekend services for our M-F customers in Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington, Medford, Lexington, Winchester and other nearby towns.
J and R's Pup Squad is dedicated to building strong, solid relationships with the dogs and families we serve, allowing us to meet each dog's individual needs. Our dogs are matched with the most appropriate and engaging playmates, and we often vary the venues we visit to ensure that every dog remains stimulated and interested.
We aim always to seek, value and nurture the unique intelligences, deep souls and loving spirits of dogs. Uses of positive reinforcement strategies combined with the building of bonds and communication, contributes to each dog's growth and development. Daily text and photo updates keep our clients fully involved and informed. In addition, our commitment to consistency, provides the dogs we serve with the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships both with us and with other dogs in the J and R's Pup Squad network, contributing to their development, health, and overall wellbeing.
We are informed, influenced, and inspired by a variety of well-respected dog experts including Tamar Geller, Victoria Stillwell, Patricia McConnell, and of course the dogs we work with every day.
